Service Description

Music theory is the study of the history, practices and possibilities of music. It is the comprehension of 'musical' letters, grammar, and phonics before one is truly able to confidently musically communicate through reading and composing. Music theory is frequently concerned with describing how musicians and composers make music, including understanding tuning systems and composition methods among other topics. With these fundamental Principals of Music, students will be fluent in the language of music, empowering them to make their own compositions. Students are encouraged to bring their instruments to class to put the music theory knowledge into practice. Geared towards Middle and High School aged participants. (Elementary Aged Lessons available at 30 minute timed sessions and will focus on comprehension, tones, and social games & play based.) Private Lessons available please contact David Collins: (954) 821-7325
